Who are the Phula?  The Phula  are one of  the  53 minority groups found in Vietnam, with an estimated  population of about  7,980.  There are also about 4,200 that live in Yunnan Province of  southern China (as of 1980).  In China, they are included with the Yi nationality, and they do have some linguistic similarity with the other Yi groups.

Pronunciation : "Phoo-lah".   Although the Vietnamese government considers the Phula to be one minority group, the Phula are actually divided into seven distinct subgroups, (Phula Han, Xa Pho, Phula Hoa, Phula Den, Phula Trang, Chu La Phula, Bo Kho Pa).   Some or all of these subgroups are probably separate ethno-linguistic people groups.

They are an unreached people group (or groups).
