    The map below shows where the Phula live in Vietnam .   Most of them are found in the mountainous portions of Lai Chau, Son La,  Ha Giang and Lao Cai Provinces.  In Bac Ha District of Lao Cai province, the Phula live in clusters of hamlets alongside the Hmong, Yao, and Han Chinese.
